John Perrotta has been making Rhode Islanders laugh for over 20 years. In 1993 he formed The Comedy Factory, a traveling comedy club where amateur comedians could get actual front line stage experience in the clubs, bars and halls. John has expanded his operation over the years to include top headlining veteran comedians from all over New England.
This career RI Department of Corrections Officer works at the ACI by day and on the comedy stage by night. John Perrotta uses very little prepared comedy material. John’s act is the audience and his stage is right at your table. John’s rapid fire comedy has been a crowd favorite and John remains one of the most requested comedians for birthday, bachelor parties and other events in RI.
John Perrotta has made it possible for new (talented) comedians to find actual paid work. John recalls it wasn’t easy starting off in comedy, so he’s more than generous sharing the stage with new comedians. John currently runs the largest comedy showcase in Rhode Island at The Comedy Connection in East Providence on Sunday nights.
Johns accomplishments over the past twenty years have earned him a permanent place in RI comedy history. John Perrotta will be inducted into The Rhode Island Comedy Hall of Fame on Friday, October 19,2012 at 8pm, with a comedy roast in his honor.
